As you travel around Ireland you will from time to time come across a tree or bush by the roadside completely covered in rags or scraps of clothing. You have just found a rag tree.
In Ireland hanging cloth on a tree is a very old Celtic tradition. Rag trees have a mystical reputation.
A tree is a tree, is a tree? Well yes ... and no. You see, it all depends on the light. I've spoken on a few occasions before about the unique light in the west of Ireland.
