I visited this location a few days ago. I knew the Bluebells at Rehins wood will be in full bloom and I had something special in mind about how I wanted to capture them.
I wasn’t interested in getting a pin sharp accurate image of the flowers – there are already plenty of them. Instead, I wanted to capture a sense of the location and time of year – a sense of time and the beautiful colours shimmering in the soft evening sunlight.
Besides a little darkening of the tree trunks, there is no other post processing done to this image. The painterly effect was captured using a slow shutter speed and some ICM (intentional camera movement)
