Being out in the landscape on your own allows you to see it differently. You look, you listen and scenes usually present themselves.
I had to pass a few hours on Enniscrone beach recently, so I put a callout for someone to model for me. Unfortunately, everyone was busy so I had to shoot the landscape on its own, in all its emptiness.
Still, I cannot help but think that in all this emptiness, the landscapes still speaks to us, if only we listen.
On my workshops I discuss the various techniques I use to capture the landscape in all it’s dramatic beauty.
