Description
On top of Minaun: Achill Island. Last night. A couple enjoys the view from Minaun.
I’ve shot the sunset from here many times. And when you’ve done this many times, you get bored of doing it. As photographers, we cannot keep returning to the same locations to take the same photo again and again. There is an onus on us to push ourselves and our hobby forward.
So when I find myself at a familiar place, I try to see and experience it differently. Sometimes it works – sometimes it doesn’t. I think it worked this time.
There is a mix of techniques used here including double exposure, long exposure (8 seconds each) and intentional camera blur.
My next scheduled workshops are listed here, but I can schedule them to suit you. Message me.
So, here we are, holding all this wonderful photographic technology in our hands … with our beautiful, creative brains … and still, we constrain ourselves with compositional rules and industry standard techniques.
If you have any questions about my workshops or photography in general, feel free to contact me.
